Ode to June,
Sunny May greetings to all Shrdluvies,
Hi Peeps,
Happy April, Shrdlubies,
Hello,
Hello,
Shrdlubbers,
Well, it’s a new month already. That short one always gets away so fast, even with the extra day.
The good news is that the weather is taking a turn for the Spring-like, and the equinox is less than
three weeks away. The days are noticeably longer, daffodils and other harbingers of Spring are
emerging, and it is, dare I say it, warmer.
Hello,
Due to all the moisture and possible/probable freezing conditions, the Shrdlu Trio gig at the GW Tavern for tonight, Friday, has
been cancelled. Will it freeze? Look out your window later.
Happy February, Shrdloids!
A momentous month this is. Comes in like a groundhog, goes out leaping. For the curious among you I reprint the
following paragraph, from a site on Leap Year, which clearly explains (?) how the 29th got added to this month:
Happy New Year 2004 Shrdluvians,
As I started writing this last night the practically full moon was ignominiously crouched behind a light cloud covering, wasting its beauty. At 5:30 AM I awoke and the moon was gloriously shining in my window…. What a sight! This evening everything is covered by a light dusting of snow and the moon continues to play hide-and-seek. And the temperature has

It’s beginning to feel like winter again. Out on the land the vernal pools are large from all the rain and snow-melt we’ve had
this winter, and icy, and rivers and streams are very full. And what do you need to do to help speed the winter along? Come out and
see the various transmogrifications of Shrdlu at the following venues.
I commence this month with a trio gig (with Jim Lynch and Pete Bennett) Friday, January 9, at the GW Tavern, 20 Bee
Brook Road (Rte 47), in Washington Depot, Connecticut. It’s always a good time, the food is excellent, the bartending
stellar. There’s a romantic fireplace setting with one couch. Guess that limits the romance to two people doesn’t it? One of the
real plusses is there’s no smoking, which will be the case everywhere as of April 1st. If you’re a non-smoker who hesitates to
come see us because of the smoke this is a user-friendly joint. Now your only excuse is that we start after your bedtime. People
always dance there because, let’s face it, people needs (sic) to dance. 9:30 PM till 1AM. 860-868-6633.
Seven days later, on Friday, January 16, I’m a duo with Pete at
59Bank
, at 59 Bank Street, New Milford,
Connecticut, from 9:30 PM till 1 AM. 860-350-5995 will get you dinner reservations, which are pretty necessary on
weekends. Menus (and my logo) can be viewed at their website… www.59bank.com. We had a great night there on New Year’s
Eve.
The full 4-piece Shrdlu Band will appear Friday, January 23, at the Redding Roadhouse, 406 Redding Road, West
Redding, Connecticut, at the junction of Routes 53 and 107. There are two couches in front of this fireplace. The romance
doubles! Their website is
www.reddingroadhouse.com, and their phone number is 203-938-3388. We play 9ish till 1 AM. Dean is
always bartending when we’re there, and he’s a gem of a human being.
Saturday, January 24, from 9 PM till 1 AM the full band can be found amid the fragrances of Italian cookery at
Mario’s at 127 Park Avenue, next to the Military Museum, in Danbury, Connecticut. 203-748-2700. I believe I’ll give the
food a try this time so I can include one of my one-word reviews next time. The place was formerly Blues Alley and was and is
the home of the Blues Open-mic every Thursday, which is hosted by Jamnesia, which includes Butch Raymond and Pete Bennett
of the Shrdlu Band and is led by Bruce Tibbits, whose last name I hope to learn how to spell in the very near future. Maybe I got
it right this time.Sign-up for the open-mic starts at 8:30.
Saturday, January 31, from 9:30PM till 1AM Pete and I will return to 59Bank, which is my new perch on Bank
Street. Check out any of the dishes there….everything’s delicious, and the prices are just right!
Of course, the Open-mic resumes this Wednesday (that’s tonight), and continues every Wednesday for the rest of your
life. Where? Right there at 59Bank. Starts at 9PM and goes till 12:30AM. It’s open to acoustic musicians, singers, poets, comics,
etc. We get a wide range of talent there. Occasionally someone brings in a key board (not necessarily acoustic) or snare drum,
and thassokay. The idea is it’s not a rock or specifically blues jam night. So grab your guitar, didjeridoo or your panpipes and clear
your larynx and come on down. The audience is friendly and accepting, so you can relax.
As always, I will be leading The Open Door Band during the indigenous (contemporary) worship service, The Open
Door, at 11:15 AM every Sunday at the Methodist Church at 68 Danbury Road (Rt.7) in New Milford, Connecticut. It’s
a casual, lively, service. Come as you are. For the month of January the pastor will be preaching on controversial
topics….4/11…the death penalty.860-354-4596.
98 in the shade! Summertime, almost, and the livin’ is easy! Here I am with the month of
June floating effortlessly by, with no newsletter, or whatever this is, out. I shall now rectify that
situation.
June is, of course, one of the months with no r. They (who?) say don’t eat oysters in
months that have no r. Unbeknownst to most people, there was a time when all months had an
r, sometimes, two r’s. Then the Oyster Council came along and said we need months, preferably
consecutive, with no r’s or rr’s. After much wrangling, Congress chose Mayr, Junre, Julry and
Aurgurst from which to delete the r’s. The Republicans felt that all the other months would be
too cumbersome sans r’s. The Democrats filibustered in an effort to remove r from February, as
no one pronounces it correctly anyway, but they lost the battle. Now you know.
This June is, also, one of the months in which I don’t have many public gigs, which is
partly why I wasn’t in too much of a rush to get this out. This weekend I have two private
engagements, and one that might as well be private. It’s the New Milford Hospital Wine and
Food-Tasting, Silent Auction Benefit at Strawberry Ridge Vineyard in New Preston, Connecticut.
Pete Bennett and I will be strolling there before the Auction, during the hors d’oaeiouvre’s, as we
did last year. It’ll cost ya’ $175 per person to enjoy that. $500 (!) if you want to stay for dinner.
Might as well be private, n’est pas? That’s Saturday, June 12, starting at 3:30 if you feel like
splurging. Splurgeing?
Next Friday, June 18, the Shrdlu Trio will be in our regular nest at the G.W. Tavern
at 20 Bee Brook Road (Route 47), in Washington Depot, Connecticut. You regular readers
of this document have probably memorized this info, as we’re there every month, but I must
print it for the newbies. The phone number is 860-868-6633, and reservations are an excellent
idea....they get a lot of diners. That’s because the food and libations are excellent, as is the
ambiance. We’ll start around 9:30 PM and stop at 1 AM. Come dance and listen.
The following night, Saturday, June 19, the 4-piece Shrdlu Band will rock the house at
59 Bank at 59 Bank (I love to write that-it looks so redundant!) Street, in New Milford,
Connecticut. That’s our other local monthly perch. Still more terrific food, drink and
atmosphere. Their phone number is 860-350-5995 and their website is: www.59bank.com.
9:30 AM till 1 AM.
Don’t stop dancin’ and listenin’.
Don’t forget to come to the Acoustic Open-mic that I host every Wednesday from
9:30 till 12:30 right there at 59 Bank. If you play, sing, recite, do stand-up (please be funny
if you do comedy...the last guy wasn’t and it was painful for all) bring yourself down and be
part of the fun. Some very good talent appears there. Everybody else, come be in the
audience.
And as always, every Sunday, I lead the Open Door Band at the contemporary
worship service at the New Milford United Methodist Church at 68 Danbury Road in New
Milford, Connecticut. Telephone is 860-354-4596, but reservations aren’t necessary. God’s
got your number. Service starts at 11:15.
That’s it. See ya’,

5/02/04:
At long last, after much delay, and not a minute-too-soon, I finally send you my Shrdlu happenings for the merry month of May.
The Maypoles are put away, but the dancing and festivities are nowhere near over.
Cool things start this Saturday and Sunday, May 15th and 16th as the Shrdlu Trio consisting of me, Marc Sichel and Pete Bennett returns,
for the fourth year, to the Hopkins Vineyard for their annual Barrel Tasting event. This is a chance to celebrate Spring
in the lovely setting by a small pond overlooking the vineyard. It’s a wine-tasting with delicious hors d’ouevres
(which I never spell correctly, but even spell-check doesn’t know) and an opportunity to purchase a bottle to consume
on the spot and to buy some for the future, while listening to some, dare I humbly say it (?), great music.
There are case-sale discounts and you can join the Vineyard’s club and get constant discounts on their award-winning wines.
This is my favorite gig, a big, relaxed party, and someone else cleans up. It goes from noon till 5 PM each day. The vineyard
is located at 25 Hopkins Road, overlooking Lake Waramaug, in New Preston, Ct. Admission is $10
and includes a complimentary wine glass, and children under 12 are admitted free. Un-alcoholic beverages
are provided, too. For directions, the phone number is 860-868-7954 and you can find them online at: www.hopkinsvineyard.com.
That same Saturday, from 9:30 PM till 1 AM, the Trio will be re-formed, with Jim Lynch replacing Marc Sichel,
and we will be performing at the GW Tavern at 20 Bee Brook Road in Washington Depot, Connecticut,
about 3 miles from the Vineyard. You can leave the wine-tasting and come have a delicious dinner
and then listen to and dance to more of your favorite tunes. This is another of my favorite spots,
where folks gather to have a good time. Their phone number is 860-868-6633.
On Friday, May 21st, the full, four-piece Shrdlu Band returns to 59 Bank at 59 Bank Street in New Milford,
Connecticut. The owner likes the full band so much that he changed all my duo gigs there into band nights.
That’s fine by me, we can rock more. This club is really a happening place, as anyone who’s been there knows,
and the food is outtasight. (Take that, spill-check!) We’ll start between 9:30 and 10 PM, and go till 1 AM. Call
860-350-5995 for reservations and such, or check out their website at: www.59bank.com.
I also host the Acoustic Open-mic at 59 Bank every Wednesday from 9 PM until 12 or beyond.
If you sing, play, recite, or do stand-up, come on down and share your talent, the rest of you come watch.
For all you runners, the following Friday, May 28th, I’ll be fiddling at the half-way mark along Housatonic Avenue
in New Milford, Ct, spurring you on in the Moonlight Mile Road Race. No one stops to listen....maybe they don’t
like fiddle music (?). The race starts at 8 PM, I believe.
Sunday, the 30th, I’ll be back at the GW Tavern with the Pete/Jim Trio for a Memorial Day
Weekend special. They don’t usually have music on Sundays, but as this is a three-day weekend,
we’ll be there. You should be, too! We start a little earlier than usual, at 9 PM, and go till 1 AM.
Call 860-868-6633 for directions or reservations. Or look back a couple of paragraphs. We were there
last year for Memorial Day Sunday, and people got down!
And, of course there’s the Open Door worship service at the United Methodist Church at 68 Danbury Road (Rte 7) in New Milford, Connecticut.
I lead the band there every week starting at 11:15 AM. Except, this weekend when Jim Lynch
will fill in for me and Marc Sichel will lead the group before joining Pete and me
at the Hopkins Vineyard. 860-354-4596.
Question: Will I be fiddling at the Farmer’s Market on the Green in New Milford, Connecticut from 10 AM
till noon on Saturday, May 29th, Memorial Day weekend, or the other holiday weekends this year? Answer:
I don’t know. I hope so. I think so. But, those farmers, being an ornery lot, haven’t contacted me,
so there’s only one way to find out. Come to the Market and check out the plants and early veggies that are there.
Ask for me by name. Have they replaced me with a new fiddler? Bagpipes? Didgeridoo?
I believe that’s all there is for this month. I’ll update if anything new turns up.
See you there.

4/29/04:
I suppose it's a little inaccurate to refer to an end of April
and a beginning of May gig as only the former, but only so much should
be in the subject area, n'est pas?
Anyway, the news is, the full Shrdlu Band, 4-piece, with drums
will be performing at 59 Bank this Friday, April 30th, starting at 10
PM. Dance-O-Rama!! And, the following night, Saturday, May 1st, the
Shrdlu Duo will be in the same spot, and you can still dance! Maybe if
we have an incredible Friday, Art, the owner, will suggest that I bring
the whole group back for Saturday. Come on down and make that happen.
The place is, of course, located at 59 Bank Street in beautiful
downtown New Milford, Connecticut. The phone number is 860-350-5995, and
their website is www.59bank.com. The food, as I've noted often, is
wonderful, and the setting is very nice. Chef Art is opening a new
Italian resteraunt, Cucina 51, two doors up the street. Looks good, and
I'm sure the food will be top-notch.
I'll be back in a week or so with the May news.
See ya.
Shrdlu
4/15/04:
It occurs to me that whoever came up with the "...brings May
flowers" bit was a real optimist. When it rains on the first day of
April it doesn't leave a whole lot to look forward to if we're supposed
to expect lots of rain with the reward coming only in May.
I don't know how many of you listened to the WPKN Fundzilla
broadcast on Sunday, March 28th, but we had a great time playing and the
band was, if I may humbly say, HOT from the first note to the last. And
I repeat, if you're not already a listener of WPKN, check the station
out at 89.5 FM. It's just about the only station you're going to hear
where the announcers don't sound like they all went to the same
broadcasting school. And that's because it's obvious that these folks
have never been near a broadcasting school. And, they get to play
whatever they want, so you hear some interesting, amazing stuff in the
course of the day, rather than the same ol' same ol'. My thanks to the
staff of PKN for having us.
Big news for the month is that smoking is now officially
banned at all bars and restaurants in Connecticut. Hooray! One small
step for humankind. I realize that those of you who smoke disagree with
me and are about to ask to be removed from my mailing list, but we'll
all breathe easier now, and smell a little better, too. All of you folks
who don't come out to see me because it's "too smokey" no longer have
that excuse. Time to get creative.
Of necessity this month's newsletter will be brief...there's
very little news gigwise. Of course there's the Acoustic Open-Mic that I
host every week at 59 Bank at 59 Bank Street, New Milford, Connecticut.
We generally have a good, friendly audience there and a reasonable
number of players. I'm always on the lookout for some new players,
singers, etc., so if you're looking for a venue in which to strut your
stuff, come on out, every Wednesday, from 9 PM till 12 AM. There will be
a guest host on the 21st, as I will be away. And you musicians who
haven't been coming because it's "too smokey..." better start showing
your faces. The phone number is 860-350-5995. The food is great and
reasonably priced. Check out the new downstairs take-out during the day.
On Friday, the 16th, the Shrdlu Duo will be performing at
that very same establishment, 59 Bank, form 9:30 PM till 1 AM. See the
above paragraph for the facts you need about the place. Also, visit
their website....www.59bank.com.
The following night, Saturday, April 17th the full Shrdlu
Band will be appearing at Mario's at 127 Park Avenue in Danbury,
Connecticut, from 9 PM till 1 AM. It's always a good idea to call a club
to make sure that things are happening as advertised, and I think it
would be especially good to call about this one, as the status of the
gig seems iffy to me, unfortunately. The number is 203-748-2700.
Saturday, April 24th, the Shrdlu Trio, returns to the GW
Tavern at 20 Bee Brook Road in Washington Depot, Connecticut, playing
from 9:30 PM till 1 AM. Terrific food and ambiance. We'll be celebrating
the anniversary of the night that it's alleged that George Washington
played there, for tips, with his quartet, the Washington Squares, on
April 24th, on the eve of the 25th, when he famously crossed the Shepaug
River and then threw the silver dollar back to Betsy Ross who had tended
bar and treated him with especial favor.
For overall entertainment, remember the unofficial Shrdlu
website at: http://users.rcn.com/fido.javanet/shrdlu.html.
Remember, on Sundays I lead the Open Door Band at the Open
Door contemporary service at the New Milford Methodist Church at 68
Danbury Road (Route 7). This service starts at 11:15 AM. If you're on a
spiritual quest this might be what you're looking for.....scripture and
rock and roll in a service that's fun. The first Sunday of each month
there's breakfast served before the service, called......Not Just Eggs.
Phone is 860-354-4596. The Easter service will start at 11:30 AM.
Unless something else comes up, that's it for the month of
April. Remember to hire us for all your party needs.
See you soon,
Shrdlubie
4/10/04:
This is to let everyone know that the Shrdlu Band gig at Mario's
in Danbury, CT scheduled for Saturday, April 17 has been cancelled.
Mario's has made Saturday's Brazilian night, and in spite of my best
efforts, I could not become Brazilian fast enough to keep the gig.
Look for changes in nationality soon.
See you at 59 Bank, in my American guise, the night before, Friday
the 16th.
Shrdlu
3/05/04:
Time to be brief. My first gig for the month is tomorrow night, Friday, March 5, at 59 Bank at 59
Bank Street, New Milford, Connecticut. It’s a duo gig with Pete Bennett and we start at 9:30 PM
and play till 1 AM. As you’ve read here previously, the cuisine is excellent and prices are
reasonable. Great flatbreads! Dinner reservations strongly recommended, at 860-350-5995.
59 Bank is, of course, where I host the Acoustic Open-Mic every Wednesday starting at 9PM.
There’s always something interesting going down on a Wednesday, new players and whatnot. If you
play or sing or comede, come on down and share your stuff. Or if you don’t, come on down and join
the audience.
I bring this all up by way of explaining that on Wednesday, March 17, colloquially known as St.
Patrick’s Day, the Open-Mic will be guest-hosted by renowned local guitarist Bruce Wheeler. Why,
you ask?
He’ll be filling in for me because I’ll be solo fiddling over at the GW Tavern at 20 Bee Brook Road
(Route 47) in Washington Depot, Connecticut. I’ll be playing all the familiar and obscure jigs, reels,
hornpipes, airs, etc that you want to hear while consuming the fabulous St. Paddy’s specials,
including Corned Beef and Cabbage. If you think corned beef is same ol’, come taste theirs. Come
enjoy the fire and fiddling. 860-868-6633. Again, green Converse sneakers gets you a free drink.
The following Saturday, March 20, Jim Lynch will be completing the Trio and we’ll be returning to
59 Bank to kick off Spring with all you revelers. The month should be beginning to turn lion-like by
then, so join us as we give Ol’ Man Winter the boot. We’ll start at 9:30 PM and go till 1 AM. See
above for the other pertinent information.
Finally, a full Shrdlu Band gig! Friday, March 26, Butch Raymond will join us as we return to the
Redding Roadhouse at 9:30 PM. As ever, great food and ambiance, a good place to convive. It’s
located at 406 Redding Road, West Redding, Connecticut, at the junction of Routes 53 and 107.
Their website is www.reddingroadhouse.com and the phone is 203-938-3388.
(Is it me, or is there something cosmic going on with these phone numbers?
350-5995 868-6633 938-3388
And two of them are 860’s. Freaky, or what? You numerologists tell me what you find, ok.)
The next night, Saturday, March 27 I’ll be returning, solo, to the GW Tavern, starting at 9:30 PM and
playing till 1AM. This time I’ll have guitar and harmonicas with me in addition to the fiddle, and
there’ll be singin’. Again, see above for other info.
Sunday, the 28th, the full band will be taking part in an
all-day-on-air-live-music-over-hyphenated-fund-raising show on WPKN Radio, at 89.5 on your FM
Dial. We’ll be on between 7 and 8 PM. The schedule for the day, still evolving, can be seen at
this link. This will be loads of fun. We did it with the
K-Man Band way back when, and it makes for a great day of music for the listeners.
If you’re not already a listener to PKN, you should be. Check it out, the most diverse station you’re
apt to encounter anywhere. It’s like New England weather….don’t like it? Wait a minute. Tune in,
turn on, drop out!
Sundays…….I lead the Open Door Band at the Open Door contemporary service at the New
Milford Methodist Church at 68 Danbury Road (Route 7). This service starts at 11:15 AM. If you’re
on a spiritual quest this might be what you’re looking for…..scripture and rock and roll in a service
that’s fun. The first Sunday of each month there’s breakfast served before the service,
called……Not Just Eggs. Phone is 860-354-4596.
So, dat’s it for March. I’ll update if anything new comes along. Hope to see everyone at every gig.
See ‘ya soon.

See you next week.

2/03/04:
“The leap year (or intercalary year or bissextile year) is a method of keeping the calendar year in sync with the seasons. The
Earth's seasons repeat once every tropical year (the time it takes the Earth to complete an orbit around the Sun). This is about
365.2422 days long, so a consistent 365-day calendar year would over time cause the seasons to slowly drift. By occasionally
inserting (or intercalating) an additional day into the year, making it 366 days long instead of the usual 365, this can be corrected.
In the Julian and Gregorian calendars this leap day or "intercalary" or "bissextile" day is added to February, making it 29 days
long.” *
I once had a friend, Julian, who was bissextile and didn’t care when or with whom he intercalated, or bifurcated, for that
matter. He split to the tropics with Gregorian.
Meanwhile, back in Shrdluvia, February is looking like a slow month, gigwise, although that has a way of changing
sometimes.
I kickoff the month at the GW Tavern in Washington Depot, Connecticut, this Friday, February 6th, with my trio,
featuring Jim Lynch on guitar and vocals and Pete Bennett on bass and vocals. The GW is located at 20 Bee Brook Road
(Route 47) in the Depot. It’s a non-smoking establishment, so the only smoke you encounter is from the fireplace in the barroom,
or the pariahs outside the front door. It’s a very cool place with food that is excellent but a little pricey. We play from 9:30 PM till
1 AM. Call 860-868-6633 for reservations or directions. Please note that this night is the full moon, and neither the band nor the
management of the GW is responsible for any untoward events occuring at/on/by/for/to patrons.
The following Friday, the 13th, the full band (above trio plus Butch Raymond on drums) returns to Mario’s in Danbury,
Connecticut. In December I announced that the owner and the food there are both Italian. I had it brought to my attention the
other day that they’re neither. Rather, they’re Portuguese. Okay, so what do I know. That might explain the spaghetti….. When
we played there a week ago, I asked for a menu, as I wanted to sample the food so I could report on it here. I was told that all
they had was wings and burgers, no more menu. I ordered a burger. Four friends came in shortly after that, and asked for a menu,
and were told there were only three burgers left. So eat before you come. We’ll start at 9 PM and play till 1 AM or later, as
needed. You’ll find Mario’s at 127 Park Avenue in Danbury, Connecticut, next to the Military Museum. The phone is
203-748-2700. Please note that this is Friday the13th, and neither the band nor the management of Mario’s is responsible for
untoward events occuring at/on/by/for/to patrons.
Don’t forget that every Thursday there’s a Blues Open-mic at Mario’s, hosted by Jamnesia, which includes two
members of my band. Sign-up starts at 8:30, and they get lots of good players.
The next night, Valentine’s Day, Saturday, the 14th, the full band is at the Marbledale Pub, on Route 202 in
Marbledale, Connecticut. This is interesting because “The Pub”, as it’s referred to colloquially, hasn’t had live music except for
some special occasions, for about a decade. I performed there in the late ‘70’s with the Mike Callahan Band, with whom I
started “The Hoot”, an open-mic which lasted there for over 10 years, and was hosted by and featured as performers a veritable
who’s who of local/regional talent during its lifespan. Then, through 1985 I was there with Brother Jump and then the Kman
Band. We were practically the house bands during those years, reigning there on Sunday nights and weekends too numerous to
mention. Is this a special weekend, or the revival of live music at “The Pub”? Find out. The menu, pub-fare, plus specials, is
excellent, and renowned in the area. Bring your sweetheart for a Valentine’s treat and dance the night away! Music starts at
9:30 PM, goes till 1 AM. 860-868-1496. Yes, that’s me playing harmonica in the upper right of the painting (by my father) that
is the cover of the menu.
The following night, Sunday, the 15th, Pete and I join with the GW Tavern again, this time celebrating our presidents,
Abe and GW his-own-self. The actual holiday is the next day, but it’s not their birthdays anyway, so let’s toast ‘em on this day.
Thankfully, none of it has to do with our current president, whom I don’t find much worth celebrating. We’ll start at 9 PM that
night, and go until Midnight, so you can get extra sleep and be rested for all the sales you’ll be going to on Monday. Directions,
etc., you can find above.
Of course, every Wednesday I host the Open-mic at 59 Bank at 59 Bank Street in New Milford, Connecticut,
from 9 PM till 1 AM. It was snowed out last week but that’s a rare (I hope) occurance. There is a stable of regulars which is
starting to appear each week, in addition to a variety of entertainers from throughout the region. Come on down and check it
out….there’s some good stuff. And if you happen to sing or play or do stand-up or recite poetry, this is the venue where you can
get your kicks and work out the kinks. Their phone number is 860-350-5995.
Sundays…….I lead the Open Door Band at the Open Door contemporary service at the New Milford Methodist
Church at 68 Danbury Road (Route 7). This service starts at 11:15 AM. If you’re on a spiritual quest this might be what
you’re looking for…..scripture and rock and roll in a service that’s fun. The first Sunday of each month there’s breakfast before
the service, called……Not Just Eggs.
Hark! The unofficial Shrdlu website: http://users.rcn.com/fido.javanet/shrdlu.html is back up and mostly up-to-date, with
new pictures and links, some of which I don’t know why I’m linked, although I’ll find out. Thanks to Mary Jane for
web-mistressing the whole thing. If I’d just start my own website I could dispense with the rcnfido bizness.
Sounds like a lot for what I said was a slow month. Maybe I’m just verbose! Anyway, I think that’s about it for now. I
hope to see you at some event this month, and will send updates if anything new arises.
See you soon,
Shrdlu
* This, of course, raises the question, “Why does February have only 28 days, anyway?”
1/01/04:
